Bio

Dylan is a filmmaker and published author. He studied at NYU Tisch Film School and spent the years since making films, writing books, and producing commercial content.

In the commercial world, he has produced videos and short documentaries over the course of his 10+ year career, working with brands like Bayer and AndNorth, and non-profits such as Columbia University, for whom he’s created over 20 videos.

In 2013, his non-fiction book about dreams was published, co-authored with two friends. It has since been released in twelve languages and has sold over 85,000 copies. You can read more about it here.

  • A feature screenplay that Dylan wrote in 2007 won a $10,000 award from the Sloan Foundation.
  • A documentary he produced, "David Again", premiered at Tribeca and screened at several Oscar qualifying festivals.
  • A documentary he directed was featured on Upworthy.com and viewed over 240,000 times.
  • His short film "The Tunnel" has won "Best Short Film" at Inwood Film Festival and "Best Short Director" at the Austin Revolution Film Festival.
  • "Donald", his short documentary, was selected to premiere at Lincoln Center as part of the ReelAbilities Festival.
  • Another short, "A Best Man", was an official selection by Hollyshorts, Omletto and New York Cinefest.
  • He received a $4,000 production grant from the Inwood Film Festival to produce his short film "Giant".
